The only Anesthesiologist in North America who is

Board Certified by The National Board of Echocardiography

and

Board Certified by The American Board of Neurophysiologic Monitoring

As you might imagine, each of these certifications requires many years of training and experience. I am dedicated to providing the highest quality and safest care that is possible.

In brief, I graduated from Emory University School of Medicine and completed residency training in anesthesiology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Following that, I completed a fellowship in Neurosurgical Anesthesia at Johns Hopkins Hospital. After training, I served on active duty in the United States Army. Since leaving the Army, I have been in private practice in anesthesiology in Tallahassee, Florida. While my subspecialty training was in neurosurgical anesthesia, I also have extensive training and experience in cardiac, pediatric, obstetric, and regional anesthesia. During my career to date I have provided anesthesia for more than 70,000 patients. This includes more than 2600 patients undergoing open heart surgical procedures and more than 6000 pediatric patients. I have extensive experience in regional nerve blocks, and in the last 6 years have performed more than 1000 ultrasound guided blocks. I have also performed more than 15,000 epidurals (for obstetric and other procedures).
